Pets Of The Week

Pets of the Week

According to the calendar, spring has officially arrived. The fur-kids have been enjoying the warmer temperatures while they are on their daily walks. We have been very busy at the shelter. We have had several of our fur-kids adopted. We also have been busy with arrivals of new kittens and puppies.  On top of all of that, we are planning a spring fundraiser. Mark your calendars for Saturday, May 19th, when Have a Heart will be hosting our first (and hopefully annual) “Bark in the Park” at Yellville’s City Park. We will have a Parade of Dogs, a variety of contests, kissing booth, vendors and more. Plan to come on out and show your support for our local shelter. More info will be available in this article and on our Facebook page and website, www.haveaheartpetshelter.org. You can also see our adoptable pets or make a donation through the website.

As usual, we are spotlighting a couple of our adoptable fur-kids. This week’s featured dog is Peaches. Isn’t she the cutest little girl? She is a 9 month old Chihuahua, weighing less than 15 lbs. Initially she is a little shy, but once you become her friend she is happy go lucky and loving.  She walks well on a leash and likes to ride in the car.  As an added bonus, she is housebroken and microchipped. Stop by the shelter to meet Peaches and our other adoptable dogs.

Our featured kitty for the week is Angel. Angel is one of four kitties who ended up in our shelter after their owners passed away. She may be a bit shy at first, but once she feels comfortable she is a friendly girl who would make a great pet. We estimate her to be about 2 years young. She is a dilute calico/Siamese mix with beautiful sky blue eyes. She is absolutely gorgeous. Angel is ok at the shelter, but she would really like to have a place to call her own. Stop by the shelter and meet Angel and the other adoptable kitties. You may just fall in love. Have a Heart Pet Shelter and thrift store is located at 657 Highway 202 in Yellville. We are open Tuesday through Saturday 9am top 3 pm. Phone 870-449-7387.
