Meet Hoss and Sam!

This gorgeous guy is Hoss. He’s a lovable Labrador Retriever/Mountain Cur mix. Hoss has the physical features of a Lab with the rich reddish/brown coat of a Mountain Cur.
Both Labs and Curs are known for their intelligence, loyalty, and good temperament with kids and other animals, which makes them great family pets. Hoss definitely displays all these traits. And, since he’s five to six years old, he’s past the chewing puppy stage that’s also characteristic of those breeds.
Additionally, Hoss is well on his way to being house-trained and he walks well on a leash. He loves attention and human interaction.
Once he gains a few more pounds, Hoss will be considered a large dog and needs plenty of room to play. A home with a big fenced yard or in the country would be ideal for him. If you’re looking for unconditional love, he’s your guy.

The featured kitty this week is Sam, a handsome vivid red-orange tabby. He arrived at the Shelter mid-February 2024 and we estimated his date of birth at mid-July 2023.
Sam was previously adopted on May 4th of last year, but was recently returned due to landlord issues. Although not very vocal, Sam is super sweet and loves attention.
If you have room in your heart for this sweet boy or would like to meet Hoss and all our other furry friends and exceptional volunteers at Have A Heart, give us a call at 870/449-7387 or stop by the Shelter located at 657 Highway 202 West in Yellville during our normal business hours, Tuesday through Saturday, 9 am to 3 pm.
