Have a Heart has the perfect companion for you. Duke, a Plott hound mix, is a happy go lucky kiddo who came to the shelter back in September. He came to the shelter as an unclaimed stray from animal control. Duke is about two years of age and weighs 60 pounds. Duke is a quiet and lovable guy who enjoys being with kids and other dogs. Duke rides well in a car, walks great on leash and is housebroken. Almost the perfect dog, except he has a clever knack; he literally climbs out of chain link fences. Therefore, he will need a big open area to run.
If you are ready to make your life complete by owning a dog, come on in and visit Duke. He will be waiting your arrival.
A lot of you will be tackling all those Black Friday sales soon. Think about the shelter while shopping. We have an awesome thrift store with all sorts of goodies.
Have a Heart is also having a Black Cat Friday. The shelter has several black felines waiting for their furever home. All cats have been spay/neutered, have their rabies vaccination, de-wormed, flea prevention and up to date on all other vaccinations.
