June is Adopt a Shelter Cat Month! Who knew? These furbabes in our Cattery sure did. But, to be honest, they think every month is Adopt a Shelter Cat Month and who are we to argue?
According to Petfinder Pro, shelter enrichment activities to keep the cats and kittens in our care physically and mentally active is important.
You may remember last week we told you about the six Cotter students who, along with their teacher, Ms. Burns, visited the shelter as part of our enrichment program. Today we’re sharing one more photo of them and, again, thanking them for spending some time with the residents and volunteers here at Have A Heart.
Keeping shelter animals occupied with activities that exercise both their brains and their bodies goes a long way toward making sure they are sharp, socialized, and ready to go to their new homes. So, if you have a group or organization that would like to help us with enrichment activities, please give us a call at 870-449-7387 to discuss options. Or come by the shelter at 657 Highway 202 West in Yellville. And, as always, if you’re looking to expand your family by adding a cat, dog, kitten or puppy, please check us out. We’ve got lots of precious furbabies just waiting to give you all the love you can stand!
