Pets of the Week
Each week Have a Heart Pet Shelter features some of our adoptable pets. This week our featured dog is Taffy. Taffy is a sweet, well behaved, young girl, about 4 months young. She hasn’t had much training, but does walk well on a leash. She gets along with other dogs and children, but chases cats. She’s a good little girl who needs someone to take the time to teach her the things doggies need to know. Before coming to the Shelter, Taffy was an outdoor dog. Her foster Mom thought she might be a St. Bernard/Great Dane mix, but that’s a guess. She is micro-chipped and ready to go to a loving, fur-ever home.
Our featured kitty is Everest. Everest is a gray DSH young cat, about 5 months young. He is sweet and playful and would really like to find a family to call his own. Come by the Shelter to meet Taffy, Everest and our other adoptable pets. They would all love the attention.
This past week was very busy at the Shelter. Our thrift store held a week long yard sale. There were a lot of good bargains to be had. Thanks to everyone who donates to, and shops our thrift store, and thanks to our volunteers who manned the sale all week. In addition to the yard sale, we pre-registered cats and dogs for the upcoming Spay and Neuter Clinic. The first 3 dates were totally filled, but we were able to add a fourth day to the clinic. The clinic will run from November 6th thru 9th. We will hold the registration for this added date on Saturday, September 22nd at the Shelter. A $15.00 deposit is required per animal and if you are applying for financial aid, you must bring proof of income. Thanks to all the responsible pet owners.
