Pets Of The Week

It was not quite as busy for adoptions last week, but Have a Heart did have two pups who were adopted. Lucky, a Catahoula mix, and George were the fortunate boys who went home to their new families. Their pictures with their new Dads are posted on our Facebook page. Our Thrift Store has a new volunteer. Stop by and say “hi” to Pebbles, the new store greeter. Pebbles is taking the place of former greeter, Gypsy Rose, who was adopted. Pebbles is honing her people skills with hopes of one day having a salaried job as a Wal-mart greeter.  If she can’t land the Wal-mart job, she said she would be happy with simply finding a family to call her own.

Our featured kitty, Holly, gets top billing this week. Holly was abandoned at the shelter on a very cold night, but she has recovered from the trauma of being dumped and is looking for her forever home. Holly is a young (under 1 year), beautiful, grey and white short haired kitty. She’s curious and playful. Holly loves lots of attention and playing with the other cats in the cattery. She is very affectionate and has a great purr motor. Stop by the Shelter to meet this sweet, petite kitty. After what she’s been through, she deserves to grow up in a loving permanent home.

Daisy Mae is the featured dog for the week. Daisy Mae is a beautiful liver-colored pointer mix who is housetrained and gentle. She was found as a stray near Lake Norfork. The lady who found her had no luck locating her owners and she eventually made her way to HAH. We estimate her age at 3-4 years. Daisy Mae has a sweet personality and seems to get along well with the other dogs. She is a smart girl who is ready to learn new tricks. She is accustomed to living inside and would adapt well to a new family.

Stop by Have a Heart to meet Daisy Mae and our other adoptable pets. Have a Heart is located at 657 Highway 202 in Yellville. Hours are Tuesday through Saturday 9am to 3 pm. Phone 870-449-7387.
