Pets of the Week

It has been a very busy week at the Have a Heart Pet Shelter. We loved meeting all of you who stopped by our booth at the Turkey Trot in Yellville. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Mid Marion County Rotary Club for hosting the event. Two kittens, Carlo and Katie, found a furrever home together! Remember, two kittens are better than one since they keep each other company. In addition, 15 lucky puppies were transported to a shelter in Missouri and 20 more are on the waiting list for transport on October 28th. Unfortunately, there are always more homeless dogs (and cats) waiting to get into the Shelter, and as usual, our kennels are full. We are always looking for volunteers to help care for the animals. The shelter is 100% volunteer. Without additional volunteers we cannot keep our kennels at full capacity. We need your help. If you are looking to make a difference in your life and the lives of these homeless pets, please contact us. If you are looking for a furry companion, please check our website haveaheartpetshelter.org or call the Shelter to make an appointment to view the adoptable pets.

We are not featuring a dog this week. Instead, we want to introduce you to an adorable litter of kittens abandoned in a box. We found out later that the kittens are the offspring of a feral cat. We have named these cuties Cooper, Pixie, Saffron and Oscar. They are cuddly girls and boys in an assortment of colors and coat lengths. They have become well-socialized. Oscar is mighty feisty! We also have several additional litters that are in foster waiting to come to the shelter when they are old enough.

Due to the Covid-19 cases in our area, we are still doing adoptions by appointment. If you would like to meet the kittens or any of our pets, or would like to volunteer, call Have a Heart at 870-449-7387 to schedule an appointment. Have a Heart is located at 657 Highway 202 in Yellville.
