Pets of the Week

Hello Have a Heart friends! I swear, it seems every week we think this will be “the week” things will slow down around here. Ha! But we are blessed to do the work we do and help the fur babies we help to find their furever homes.

This week we want to let y’all know we’re having one of our world-famous (okay, maybe Marion County famous) yard sales this weekend! And who doesn’t love a bargain? This Friday and Saturday, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm both days, come out and find a treasure while supporting a really great cause! All proceeds go toward the operation of this shelter and the work we do throughout the year.

Pets of the Week

Both featured pets this week are “surrenders,” so we know more about their history than we often do.

First up is Nate. Oh my goodness! Look at this sweet little Morkie (Maltese/Yorkie mix). Nate is 11 years old whose owner recently passed away. He is such a sweet “in your lap” kind of boy. He would probably be happiest in the home of an older person(s) who are home to give him all the love he was used to getting from his late human. Nate was used to another dog and would probably do best in a home with only one other dog or maybe him as the only dog, as long as his humans were around most of the time to snuggle. He has adapted quickly to the routine of his foster home and loves being outdoors. (Who doesn’t in the weather we’ve had the past few days?) Since he came into the shelter, he has had to have surgery to remove bladder stones but he has recovered well so please don’t let that keep you from considering adding Nate to your family!

Adeline is just about the sweetest young lady you can imagine. She was born 8/13/20 so she’s a curious young girl. She is declawed on the front so needs to be an indoor only cat. She has lived inside the same home since she was a baby. Her humans finally had to come to the realization that they worked far too many hours and weren’t able to give her the love and attention she craved and deserved. They regretfully made the ultimate decision to surrender her so she could find the loving home she deserves.

Adeline is curious and loves, loves, LOVES attention.

If you’d like to meet Nate, Adeline, or any of our other fur babies, please contact Have a Heart at 870-449-7387 or come by the shelter at 657 Highway 202 W,, in Yellville. We are currently open Wednesday through Saturday, 9 am to 3 pm. And don’t forget our yard sale this Friday and Saturday, 9-3!
