The last few weeks we’ve had a great deal of success in finding new furever homes for shelter residents. But, as always, it seems that as fast as we adopt out cats, dogs, kittens, and puppies…more come in.
This week we’d like our readers to meet three very special furbabies.
First up is Trooper. This white and tan hound terrier mix is estimated to be around two years old. But don’t let that fool you. There’s no “terrible twos” going on with this guy. He is a lover not a fighter. I mean, just look at him!
Trooper came to the shelter in mid-May after being found as a stray in rural Marion County. At that time, he had an injured foot, was covered in ticks and fleas, and tested positive for Ehrilichia (a tick-borne disease). He has blossomed under the care of shelter volunteers. Trooper’s foot is now healed, he has gained needed weight (currently at 43 pounds), and has started treatment for the Ehrilichia.
He loves everyone, is very calm, housebroken, and walks well on a leash. All that’s missing in his life right now is his very own human(s).
If you’re more in the mindset that what your home is missing is of the feline type, just check out Possum and Eddy! Both are energetic, feisty little boys who will entertain you for hours, interspersed with cuddle sessions and naps. (Hey, being feisty is hard work for a little dude!)
Possum is a darling little boy and is a domestic shorthair golden kitten.
Not to be outdone, Eddy is just as adorable and is a domestic shorthair grey tabby.
Just look at all three of those faces…how can you resist? To find out more about Trooper, Possum, or Eddy (or any of our other adoptable), call Have a Heart at 870-449-7387. Or stop by to meet them at 657 Highway 202 West in Yellville. We’ll be watching for you!
