This week we have a couple of real cuties for you!
Dog of the Week
Meet Axel, a seven-month-old blonde cattle dog mix. Axel is currently just over 40 pounds but he is just a pup so he is still growing. Axel is potty trained but still has accidents if not taken out for a long period of time.
Axel, along with his brother and mother, was brought into the Shelter on January 16, 2024. This handsome boy is a very well-behaved puppy. He has his moments of rambunctious playing. Axel walks well on a leash, but when he goes potty he gets a sudden burst of energy. He is still timid when meeting new dogs but is very willing to make new friends with a proper introduction. Just like any dog from the Shelter, he may take a little time to adjust to a new place.
Cat of the Week
This week’s featured cat is a sweet boy named Tux. He’s a handsome black and white tuxedo and his date of birth is 7/1/21. Tux came to the Shelter when his human mom had to go into hospice and could no longer care for him. Although she was devastated, she wanted to make sure he would be well cared for. The Shelter took him in and, after a short time of adjustment where he hid a lot, Tux is a sweet and sometimes vocal guy. He’s a snuggler and loves to cuddle up in your lap. He has never been outdoors, having lived with his mom his whole life.
If you’d like to meet Tux, Axel, or any of our other adoptables, please call the Shelter at 870/449-7387 or drop by at 657 Highway 202 West in Yellville during our normal business hours, Tuesday through Saturday, 9 am to 3 pm. Hope to see you soon!
