Pet Of The Week

Each week Have a Heart Pet shelter features some of our adoptable pets. This week’s featured dog is Casanova. Casanova was found sitting along a dirt road with a companion. A kind hearted gentleman picked up the dogs and brought them to the shelter. I just have one question, who could possibly dump such a handsome and loving dog? Casanova is a very well trained and housebroken Shepherd mix. He’s a year and a half old and has a lot of play left in him. Casanova doesn’t have an issue with other dogs. We are not sure what his attitude is with cats. Stop by and meet Casanova. He may just turn out to be your new best friend.
We are not featuring a specific cat this week. We have many playful, healthy cats and kittens that are in need of loving homes. We are going to continue adopting the cats/kittens for the discounted fee of $25. All have been spayed or neutered, are current on basic 3 in 1 cat vaccinations, dewormed, vaccinated against Rabies, litter box trained, and oh so loving, playful, healthy and adorable. Stop by the shelter to meet some of these adorable felines and maybe even take one home with you.
You may have seen the article a few weeks ago about our plans for a new building. Thanks to a few very generous donors, we now have funds set aside for a new building. The prep work on the site is completed and we are waiting for the OK on building plans. We are in need of additional funding to complete the interior of the building. We are all looking forward to being our new facility sometime this year.
The shelter and thrift store has new hours. We will be closed Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday. Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday hours are 9 am to 3 pm. The thrift store has a lot of new merchandise. Come on in a check it out. We also have homemade dog cookies for a small donation of $2.00 a bag. And, we haven’t forgotten about the kitties, we also have kitten treats. Although the business part of the shelter may be closed, we still walk the fur-kids every day and can still use afternoon volunteers. Afternoon dog walking time is 2:00 pm.
