Pets of the Week

Happy Fall everyone!

This week’s feline of the week is Sunshine! And that’s a perfect name for this sweet little lady. She arrived at Have A Heart a few months ago with her seven babies in tow. They had all been displaced due to a house fire. All but two of her babies have already found loving homes and her last two boys were featured in a recent article.

So this week it’s time to feature mama Sunshine. You can definitely see the Siamese in this girl, with her long lean body. We estimate she’s about two years old.

Right now, Sunshine is still protective of all the kittens on the Cattery floor, even those that aren’t hers. She will be spayed this week so those protective mama hormones will lessen. She is beautiful and loving and is looking for a loving home of her own or with a kitten.

Our dog of the week is a sweet little hound mix named Wally. At about one and one-half years old, Wally still has a lot of his puppy energy. We think he is probably near his full size at 33 pounds and about 15 inches tall.

Wally came to our Shelter as a stray with his Mom, June. He is house trained and catching on quickly to basic commands. He walks well on a leash, loves to play, and gets along with other dogs and cats. Wally is fully vetted and ready to be someone’s best buddy.

If you would like to meet Sunshine, Wally, or any of our other adoptables, please give us a call at 870/449-7387 or stop by the Shelter at 657 Highway 202 West in Yellville during our normal business hours, Tuesday through Saturday, 9 am to 3 pm. We hope to see you soon!
