Pet Of The Week

Oh do we have a “Critter” for you. This Critter doesn’t stink like a skunk or dig through trash like a raccoon. This Critter is a gorgeous six month old, female Spaniel mix. Like most Spaniels, Critter is cheerful, energetic and has a happy attitude who loves to play. Critter is fine with other dogs. She is curious with cats; she will not chase or hurt them. We would not recommend adopting Critter to a family with children under the age of ten. She also could use a bit more training on a leash.
So what do you think. A “Critter” who doesn’t stink or go rummaging through trash..Perfect!

We are not featuring a specific cat this week. We have some awesome kittens/cats in the shelter. Our prices on the kitties over 8 months old is $25, kittens are $50. All the felines have been spayed/neutered, have their rabies shot, dewormed, and current on vaccinations. We would really like to find homes for these kitties, since spring brings more litters of unwanted kittens in need of care. Speaking of unwanted litters, the dates for this year’s Low Cost Spay and Neuter Clinic. This year’s dates are July 27th -29th, August 1st -3rd and November 7th -9th, 2017.

We have been receiving great support from the community and we want to thank everyone for this. Without this support we wouldn’t have been able to build our new shelter. We hope to be able to grow our organization and provide additional support to serve the people and animals in our county. After so many years without this type of resource in our community, I am happy to do whatever I can to aid Have a Heart Pet Shelter in their mission. The shelter is located at 657 HWY 202 W. The shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday 9am to 3pm. Although we may be closed for business, we will still walk dogs every day at 8am and 4:30pm. Stop by and take one of the pooches for a stroll. Phone number is 870-449-7387.
